The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) at the V&A Waterfront is housed in a beautifully transformed 1920s grain silo. Designed by Heatherwick Studio and opened in 2017, it’s the world’s largest museum dedicated to contemporary African and African diaspora art.

Visitors are welcomed by a cathedral‑like atrium, carved from the silo’s original concrete tubes, flooding the space with light and showcasing the industrial heritage. Multi‑level galleries span nine floors across some 6,500–9,500 m², featuring rotating exhibitions, a rooftop sculpture garden, and amenities like a restaurant, bar, and shop.
